Review: Byly Depil Hair Removal (with Thermal Water)

Byly Depil Hair Removal (2 strips)
This week review is on Byly Depil Hair Removal. This is a sample given in the goodies bag when I attended the EzyForum Event during April this year.

My mum became my product guinea pig again because of her hairy leg. :p Overall, this hair removal strip can remove hair cleanly and effectively. The re-growth period lasted very long. 2 weeks from using the strip, hairs have not been seen growing. But, using this hair removal strip is quite painful if you have hairy legs. :D

Byly Depil (with Thermal Water) Summary
The latest treatment from laboratorios Byly is especially suitable for people with delicate skin because it prevents irritation and calms the skin after hair removal.

The dermo-elastic formula adapts itself to the skin's contours and sticks to the hair itself, eliminating even the shortest hairs.

Thermal water is rich in calcium and magnesium, which is well known for its therapeutic properties.

How to use Byly Depil (with Thermal Water)?
3 steps:
  1. Refresh: Before hair removal, give skin a gentle massage with the pre-depilation wipe.
  2. Remove hair: Hold strip between hands for few seconds to condition the wax. Separate the strips slowly and apply them to the areas to be depilated, smoothing the strip down in the direction of hair growth. Then immediately hold the skin taught and pull the strip off quickly against the direction of hair growth.
  3. Calm and hydrate: After hair removal, give skin gentle massage with the after depilation wipes.

My Review
This is a sample given in the goodies bag when I attended the EzyForum Event during April this year.

My mum became my product guinea pig again because of her hairy leg. :p

The sample pack consist of 4 strips, 1 pre-waxing tissue and 1 post-waxing tissue.
What is inside the sample pack.
The pre-waxing tissue just feels like an ordinary wet tissue. After cleaning, it feels cooling and hair can be seen easily.

How leg look like after pre-waxing.
The strip can be pull apart easily. But once apart, the strip is very sticky. And the application process is very messy as it stick all over my hands.
Strips
But the strip can cleanly pull hair off the leg. The area just being pull off will be very sticky and I can see all the pull off hairs on the strips.
Half done pull off leg.
Pull off hair on the strips
To remove all the hair from my mum's 1 leg, 2 strips is needed. And I actually need to stick on and pull off several times (around 4 times per strips), to cleanly remove all the hairs from 1 leg. But one thing I like about it is that 1 strip can be re-stick on and pull off a lot of times, not just one time. :)

Ah ha! You must be thinking, "eee. That must be painful!" /shock And yes, I asked my mum and she say of course it is painful. She say it feels like ants bite.

Another thing I discovered is that you may need another person to help you with the removal of hair, otherwise, it will not be clean. :p

And yes, by the time I'm done with both my mum's leg, my hand is very very sticky all over. :(

The post-waxing tissue came handy. The tissue contain oil, so it is oily. The post-waxing tissue is able to clean off the sticky wax left on the leg. But it takes very long time to dry. So my mum use a normal tissue to wipe off after a while.

How the post-waxing tissue looks like.
Hairs are cleanly removed from my mum's leg and the leg feels smooth too. No poky feeling at all.

And one thing my mum notice is the re-growth period of the hairs on her legs. Its 2 weeks from using this hair removal strip and still legs are smooth with no sign of hairs re-growth. =D>
Before Using.
After using.
As compare, previously using hair removal cream, legs not as smooth after removal, legs started feeling poky and hair re-growth only after a short 3 days from removal.

Overall, this hair removal strip can remove hair cleanly and effectively. The re-growth period lasted very long. 2 weeks from using the strip, hairs have not been seen growing. But, using this hair removal strip is quite painful if you have hairy legs. But 1 strip can be stick on and pull off a lot of times (re-useable). /XD
